The restoration of ALL things is surely the dream or hope of all believers. No more violence or sickness or suffering or pain. No more lying and cheating. No more fear. No more sin. No more death. It is a dream of Utopia. It almost seems as if that is impossible and will never be a reality.
However, this is exactly what the Bible teaches that is awaiting those who put their trust in Jesus. I don’t think it will be possible to fully comprehend the magnitude of this “dream”. Yet it is our motivation for enduring whatever suffering we might experience.
The Scriptures have much to say about the restoration of all things. Some key passages are those which quote Elijah’s ministry of restoration: Here is a quotation from Jesus, quoted out of the Old Testament book of Malachi
Mat 17:11 “And He answered and said, ‘Elijah is coming and will restore all things …’”
There are aspects of this restoration which takes place before the coming of the Lord. There are also aspects that will be fulfilled after our Lord has returned. In Book 2 – Kingdom seed and Book 5 – Great calling, unlikely messenger, we have already studied the teachings of a spiritual revival which must take place BEFORE and IN PREPARATION of the Lord’s return. In this book, we shall concentrate on the restoration which must take place after Jesus has returned to this earth. It is this restoration of all things that we are concerned with here in this book.
I pray that this study will inspire you like no other, as your hope as a believer is built upon the solid rock of YHWH’s precious Word.
