Conflicting Kingdoms – Book 10 – Second Resurrection & Eternal Judgement

Matt 25:41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;

25:42         “For I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;

25:43         “I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’

25:44         “Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’

25:45         “Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’

25:46         “These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

"Restoring the lost sheep and healing the broken-hearted."

We have observed that the Bible speaks of two resurrections. In Book 8The first resurrection and coming kingdom, we looked at the first resurrection in detail. Let us now consider the second resurrection.

Dan 12:2    “Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.”

John 5:29   “… And will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.”

Acts 24:15  “… Having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.”

Rev 20:5     “The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed …”

From these Scriptures we deduct that the second resurrection is not in joy and glory as the first. Rather it is a resurrection with the purpose of bringing those who are resurrected to judgement.
